Saturday update

Thanks for all your prayers. I was able to stand in the back and attend Blake and Mitchell's Spring program. Admittedly a small accomplishment but a tremendous blessing for me. I made sure that both boys saw me as they preformed which I think is very important in their world. Both did a great job and Mitchell ran up to me afterwards all excited and proud - it was wonderful. Sticking to the Dr.'s regime and yesterday and today - I continue see progress - and am so grateful. A couple of thoughts:

The Lord has been leading in my devotions lately to focus on and be reminded of - the rather mysterious doctrine that those who have placed their faith in Christ and who are born again - are now forever linked with the life of Christ. (Col 3:2-4) That somehow we were there and participated in Christ's passion and resurrection and are now seated with Him in the heavenly realms. (Gal 2:20, Eph 2:6) Our life is hid within Jesus Christ. The application for me being no matter what is or will happen to our physical body - our spirit is alive with the eternal I AM - every moment full of everlasting LIFE! Nothing in this physical realm can diminish this - nothing can extinguish it - affliction, pain even death itself - has no power to separate us from it.

The Scripture that was particularly piercing was Psalm 4:4-5 which says,

'Tremble and do not sin;
Meditate on your bed and be still.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And trust in the Lord."

As I was deep into these Scriptures - it was as if the Lord was carefully scolding me like a loving father to a frightened child. Dan - be still - calm down - in Christ I have eternally connected you to My everlasting life - tremble before this mighty truth - meditate on this - live in this - trust in this. Oh that my soul will always be still enough to sense this pulsating eternal connection and to let this life of Christ shine in and through me! You can pray this for me today!
