I met with the Pain Clinic doctor and he has prescribed a new round of medications to help ease the pain in my lumbar spine that has been getting worse over this last week. Please pray as I try these out – that I will find the right balance and for them to be effective so I can continue my physical therapy and healing from the operation.
Was reading 2 Samuel 24 and though the particulars of the story are interesting, I was challenged by David's response to three choices he was given - all of them being ones that involved pain and suffering. David's choice was this ""14 "I am in great distress. Let us now fall into the hand of the Lord for His mercies are great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man." No matter what was ahead - he would rather throw himself on God than into the hands of man. There is a lesson here for me - no matter what solutions I or any other man can devise for me - my first and foremost priority is to seek God and lay my life in His hands - no matter what He calls me to endure. To be in His hands is better than any man.
