Fri. & Sat. May 10th Update

Still no news to speak of - I am trying to get around as much as I can today as it may shake the medication up a bit. The nurse she has seen it take from 48 hours to a week for the patient to see relief. So there are no guarantees with this procedure. We knew that going in. If this doesn't work we'll just continue to fight and try something else.

I'm coming up with a 'doctrine of waiting' as the Scriptures seems to say a lot about this. It is a character trait favored by God and one that He promises to manifest in and through us. Remember that it is listed in the fruits of Spirit as Patience (really Long-Suffering).

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Anyone with a chronic health issue is sooo glad that this is one of the character traits the Holy Spirit can live through us. It is also a discipline with multiple promises.

Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.

Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.

Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Thank you for waiting with me - only good things can come of it.
