Tuesday May 20th Update

This weekend was good and I was able to do more and more with the pain at a manageable level for many of the activities. The meeting with the Dr. yesterday went well. We had a good discussion about my present condition. It has been two weeks since the injection. He said that it was not unusual for a first injection to curb the pain a bit - but not to take care of it all. I could receive another one - however - it is his policy to only do six a year. He is very cautious about these, not like other Dr.'s who he said administer them much to haphazardly.

Although I am not where I want to be as far as pain control and mobility - your prayers and these treatments have taken me out of the emergency level. PTL!! What we decided to do was to run a bit of an experiment. I am to do as much as I want for this week and see how the spine takes it. If the pain goes back up to a debilitating state - then I will go in for another injection. I am also due for my regular round of MRI's - but I am going to hold off on those until next week while I continue to get this under control.

I share all of these details with you because so many friends sincerely want to know precisely what is going on as they have been praying diligently for me. Of course, my entire family thank you for these prayers. But there is more to life than simply managing my health. I want you to know that my times with the Lord are intimate and meaningful and our efforts to minister for the Lord continue to bring us great joy!!!

I will let you know how the 'experiment' goes.

I know I sound repetitive, but again I have to proclaim how the word of God, The True Word, is made manifest in your life (and the life of your beautiful wife).
"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day." (2 Cor. 4:16). The Lord is definitely producing in you an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison (more than you can even imagine) as you faithfully proclaim His Nearness, Faithfulness, Love, Strength, etc., as you look not at the things which are seen, but at the unseen eternal. Praise God for your testimony and your ministry at home, in your city and abroad.
Bless you dear friend!
