Thanks for your prayers. Moved the appointment with the pain Dr. to next Monday morning and I also made an appointment later that day with a Christian who does acupuncture. We'll see if this helps - I'm a bit skeptical but I've heard of many people who have been helped by this method so I am willing to give it a try.
Was reading over the 'Physical Afflictions' brochure which was a summary of some of the lessons learned through this - and was reminded and refreshed through this truth in Scripture that I should,
"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have it perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." (James 1:2)
Could it be that this cancer is a way to make me 'perfect and complete, lacking in nothing?' Quite a lofty goal the Lord is working towards given the wayward, frightened, weak vessel that I am. Pray for that special kind of endurance that will lead me to this - being 'perfect and complete, lacking in nothing' sounds like a great state to be in!
