Here are the results of the MRI
Thoracic spine:
There is a lesion (nodule of cancer) that measures 2.1 cm at T12 (thoracic vertebre number 12). This is an intradural extramedullary mass. It is larger than the last scan of 1/2/08. There are also multiple punctate foci of lesions (nodules) seen on the dorsal aspect of the spinal courd at T2, T3, and T9.
There is also dorsal buckling of the spinal cord at T10 . This is an adhesion of the spinal cord due to previous surgeries.
Lumbar spine:
There is a lesion (nodule) that measures 0.9 cm at L1. There are also mutliple foci througout the cuada equina.
I am discussing the possibility of surgery next Wednesday to deal with the buckling at T10 - this would involve pealing the scarred tissue off the dura - the lining around the spinal cord. And also to remove the nodule that has grown at T12. Both very delicate surgeries. I meet with Dr.'s today and I'll know more this afternoon and will let you know - Thanks again.
